Kent has partnered with entrepreneurs to build successful businesses serving on the board of directors of high-performing businesses, including Banyan Software, lntegra Partners (DME network manager for large insurance payors), Neuro International (residential brain trauma recovery), Change Academy Lake of The Ozarks (behavioral health), and VRI (telemonitoring). He’s also helped entrepreneurs build highly successful businesses such as FieldEdge (field technician software), mTab (database tool), Discover Outsourcing (HR outsourcing), among many investments.
Kent is currently chairman of the board and former CEO of Progressive Home Care, a Sacramento-based health care company that he's operated for 13 years. During his 13-year tenure as Chairman & CEO, investors' returns have exceeded 35x acquisition capital with IRRs over 90%.
Previously, Kent held executive positions in marketing and product management for a VC-backed marketing automation startup, as a regional CFO and business analyst in Pepsi Co's Pizza Hut Division, and as a management consultant at Ernst & Young.
He received his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and BS in finance from the University of Southern California.

Prior to joining Nelson, Tom was the Controller of Bristol Corporation, the parent company of ten manufacturing companies, from 1978-1984.
He has served on the boards of American Security Products, Columbia Sanitary Products, Dynamic Growth Dental, EZ Shipper Racks, Nelson Nameplate Company, Nutrishare, SafeLogic, Scottish American Insurance Services, and Positive Coaching Alliance.
Tom received his Bachelors degree in Physics in 1982 from the University of California, Irvine where he was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate. Tom received an MBA in 1986 from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller scholar and the recipient of the Alexander A. Robichek Award, given to the top student each year in finance.

From 1982 to 1984, he worked as an engineer for IBM Corporation. Dave currently sits on the boards of American Security Products, Columbia Sanitary Products, Gogotech, DSD Partners and PalCare.
He has previously served as the Secretary of the Glendale Memorial Hospital Foundation and as the Treasurer of the San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity. For the past 25 years, he has served as the Treasurer of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Glendale.

Over the 14 years he ran York and predecessor organizations, Rick grew the company from a regional third-party insurance administrator with $15M in revenue and 150 employees into one of the world’s largest TPAs with approximately $800M in revenue and over 5,00 employees.
Rick currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Palomar Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLMR) and Veritone, Inc. (NASDAQ: VERI). Current and prior board service includes privately owned companies Alphaeon Corporation, Axiom Medical Consulting, MASA Global, Obsidian Specialty Insurance, and Worldwide Facilities. Rick is a member of Genstar Capital’s Strategic Advisory Board.
Rick was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the year in 2017 for the State of New Jersey and was a national finalist for the financial services division.
Rick earned his BA from Colgate University and JD from Stanford Law School, where his studies focused on securities law and corporate governance.
Rick and his family reside in Newport Beach, CA, where he is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Hoag Hospital Foundation.
